“We live our lives like Jesus”
Corpus Christi Feast Day
Thursday 8th June
International Celebration
To celebrate our feast day, we are inviting
children to come dressed in clothes to represent
their heritage and cultural backgrounds. As a
school, we are a very diverse community, coming
from many backgrounds. Corpus Christi means
“The Body of Christ” and we want to celebrate
our diversity by showing we are all one family.
Children will take part in a variety of activities on
Thursday and Friday to celebrate our feast day.
We are inviting parents to come into school on
Thursday 8th June to share a traditional story or some infor-
mation about their culture
M&M productions provided Corpus Christi with 2 shows of Alice In wonderland ,
The children enjoyed these very much...
On Friday 24th February all children in years 1 and 2 attended the infant voices festival at Kings Academy Northern Parade. Over the last few months the children have been learning fairytale inspired songs which they sang at this year's festival. It was a great opportunity for the children to perform to other schools and a thoroughly enjoyable experience for them all.
We hosted a wonderful afternoon inviting our grandparents into school to share board games with their grandchildren.
There was fun, laughter and competitiveness all round as we saw new and traditional games shared.
43 grandparents visited for the afternoon and it was so lovely to welcome our community into school.
We look forward to hosting our next grandparents event.
If you have any concerns about your child, please telephone the school to make an appointment.
Between 9am - 11am
Today year 3/4 classes are having a very special visitor in their Spanish lessons.
from the Primary Education Sector of the Spanish Embassy in London.
Maria Garcia Rolland will be talking about her Catholic school in Spain and bringing along her puppets!
Some Year 3/4 children attended the BH Live City Games today. They were judged on their skills of Respect, Attitude, Effort, Commitment and Teamwork as part of the event. We are really proud that our children came in 1st place out of 6 other schools and were awarded a special trophy to celebrate their efforts
A group of school councillors joined the final Summit Day of PCoPS (Primary Council of Portsmouth Students) this week to celebrate the power of pupil voice in their schools and city.
Children presented to other schools' councils to talk about what they had achieved as a school council and how their experiences of being a councillor have helped them develop their own leadership skills.
They were excellent representatives of our school!
