Support and Guidance for Parents/Carers

Dear Parents/Carers

We aim to work in partnership with our families, recognising that we are all here to support each other so that children can become the best person they can be. This page will provide links, resources and support for parents and carers to help them support their child.

Some of these resources are designed for children with a range of Special Educational Needs, but could be used by all parents. We have also added additional resources to help manage your child's emotional needs during this period of lockdown and links to family support networks.

We aim to add to this list on a regular basis, so please keep checking for new ideas.

If you have any further questions, or need to speak to us personally, please contact us by email.

Best wishes and stay safe,

Mrs Cope and Mrs Tye

Children’s Mental Health Week, this is an annual week-long campaign run by children’s mental health charity Place2Be, begins 1ST February and will run until Sunday 7 February.  This year’s theme is “Express Yourself” with the focus on children finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas through creativity. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through doing activities that just make one feel good. Throughout the week there will be a variety of mental health resources including ‘wellbeing for education return’ and the children and young people’s psychological first aid training which is run by Public Health England. All free resources can be adapted for you to use for at home
