“We live our lives like Jesus”

PE and Sports

Physical Education

At Corpus Christi it is our intent to provide children with access to a broad variety of high-quality opportunities to participate in sports. Our PE lessons are taught by teachers and our school sports coach, during these lessons we aim to inspire, motivate and promote a life long love of being physically active.

Through the teaching of high quality PE lessons pupils are encouraged to develop a range of positive life skills, such as; concentration, creativity, communication, respect and honesty. These skills are at the core of our PE lessons and pupils are praised and rewarded for showing these values during lessons, lunch and play times.

Our new balance bikes have arrived!

The children took part in a range of ‘alternative’ sports, including archery, fencing, ultimate frisbee and boccia. They had to work as a team and show passion, determination and resilience. Well done year 2!

Sports Day

For our Sports Day, each year we visit the Mount Batten Centre. The children were great, full of smiles and all of them did their very best. 2-3 children from each class were awarded a medal for showing fabulous sporting attitudes and values. Thank you to Mrs Timmons for organising our day and the Young Leaders from St Edmunds who helped with the activities and well done to everyone.
